Climate Positive Design with Pamela Conrad

Pamela presented on Climate Positive Design, an independent initiative she developed during her time in the LAF Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership. Climate Positive Design includes both a challenge for landscape architects to design projects that generate less carbon and store more of it as well as a tool for measuring progress toward that goal. With the calculator, landscape architects can see and test the impact of design choices, material selection, and maintenance practice. Designers can also use this information to advocate for the importance of their work with clients, project stakeholders, developers, and policymakers.
