Since i found out about this new picture style from Alvaro Yus, i had to test it right away. It was said to be better for shadow detail without blowing the highlights. So i did a simple test with a black couch and some black objects on it. The window is used for highlight performance measuring.
Tested are the standard picture styles 'Neutral' (Nikon), TassinFlat (Blackpeppers) and the AlvaroYus (Alvaro Yus).
I forgot to shoot in 720p, instead i used 1080p. I converted the edited 1080p raw (uncompressed avi) video to 720p mp4 with the bitrate 20.000 kb/s. So it has to be sufficient enough for good comparison.
I noticed some compression artefacts in the Noise reduction part. That's due to the converting process i guess. I will definitely do some more testing this week.
