This is the eleventh episode of a sketch-based travel webseries about Australia's Northern Territory, made for WorldNomads.com. The series later aired as a 30-minute special for National Geographic Adventures.

This one was filmed at Jerry Kelly's ranch in Tennant Creek. He trains locals (and typically the young Aboriginal locals) to ride and care for horses so that they can go out into the Outback as ranch hands. And he put us through the wringer! For a few hours at least. I had a blast -- it was maybe the coldest, rainiest day of our trip, and still one of my favorites. If only to see the look of shock and horror on Willie's face when the horse he was riding taught him exactly what "piss like a race horse" means.

The last bit, where Willie eats the salsa: his reaction is totally real, and that salsa really was some of the hottest salsa I've ever tasted.
