The Rhyme of the Ancient Merino was made mostly using stop motion animation with life-sized puppets made out of old farm machinery. The film was inspired by the history of the local theater group (ACT) and has been in production (on and off) for the last 3 years. Often shot out-doors, on location (Mt Arapiles, Natimuk Silos, Wheat fields) it is, without doubt, the most difficult film thing I have ever attempted.
