This was my first real try at stop-motion using modeling clay (unlike the play-doh stop-motion you see in my other short "Windowsill Woes"). This was a stop-motion work made through the collaborative teamwork of my college buddy, Denisse Monay and Pablo Lopez. Originally it was made to enter a music video contest for a band called The Panics; Song entitled Endless Road.
We worked our butts off on this video and even though we missed the deadline a lot was learned. Like even though the dude didn't speak or have facial expressions we still had to figure out how to convey his emotions through his body language and movement. It was my first time animating using a handmade armature and I spent sleepless nights and mornings working with this 8 inch figure. The toughest part about this project I'd say was lighting (had only two light clamps, some cto, ctb, and diffision to work with) and trying to animate so that the objects on the table kept their continuity as the character, Vincent, maneuvered around them. All in all, I'm proud of this work and the stepping stones it laid out for me to develop my skills as a stop-motion animator.
