Organized by CAMH Senior Curator Valerie Cassel Oliver, "Donald Moffett: The Extravagant Vein" is the first survey exhibition of this American artist’s prolific practice. The exhibition presents work created over the last two decades, surveying nine important bodies of work that interrogate and blur the definition of painting by incorporating non-traditional materials such as video and photography. Now the exhibition has traveled away from Texas up to the Northeast! This slideshow shows Donald Moffett's work at Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery and Marianne Boesky Gallery.
Music is "(What’s So Funny) ‘Bout Peace, Love and Understanding” written by Nick Lowe and recorded here by Marcus Milius. It and several other songs were played in Moffett's installation "Hippie Shit" at CAMH.
