today, someone asked a great question on the cheat codes lines thread (llllllll.co/t/cheat-codes/27874/) about recording to and playing back audio from the live buffers. seemed like a helpful thing to show (vs. tell)!
here, I’ve recorded a voice counting numbers “one” through “twenty-four” across the three live buffers, using the keys at the bottom of the grid @ [1,2][1,3][1,4]
live buffer 1 audio: “one” thru “eight”
live buffer 2 audio: “nine” thru “sixteen”
live buffer 3 audio: “seventeen” thru “twenty-four”
a fresh cheat codes session will default assign every bank and every pad to reference live buffer 1. this can be changed per-pad or, by holding the ALT key (far bottom-left @ [1,1]), per-bank.
this actually lets you mix and match different audio clips per pad, which you can (for example) manipulate while a pattern of pad presses plays back.
