Undertaking a hike up the Zion Narrows in the winter is like few other adventures. Besides the presence of snow and ice along the route, the most dramatic aspect is the absence of people! Entering the Narrows at the Temple of Sinawava, hikers will immediately be struck by the almost other-worldly sense of isolation and solitude. Wading only a couple of miles up the canyon will reward intrepid adventurers with sights experienced by very few park visitors. This is a "must do" experience for anyone who has even a modicum of adventure spirit.
