Here is a 5 second, 1920x1080 clip of film grain (scanned). I call it 8mm, but it was originally 35mm, I have doctored it to emulate a lower fidelity film stock, to give it a more vintage or low-grade look.
To use it in a project, put it on top of the video clip you would like it applied to. Set the "Blend Mode" or "Composite Mode" to soft light or overlay (soft light generally works best in most cases).
