About the artistic research project Costume Agency
The core of the project is exploring through artistic means the performative
potential of costume.
For a long time costume has been a secondary dramaturgical means,
serving the narrative of the play.
In recent decades there is more work concentrating on other performative abilities of costume.
In this project we search for how costume can perform and the material, cultural, and phenomenological aspects will all come into play.
Performing Costume is a workshop in which costume designers will be provided with conditions to create performance starting from their designed garments.
