This was a very hard video for me to edit, being that I was/am so invested in the events of that day and the footage I shot. I didn't want to cut anything out, it all seemed so important.
I split it up into two parts because there has been so much attention paid to the 33 arrested that afternoon (understandably) that the first part of the protest, the march, got a little lost in all the post analyzing. Seeing the 1200+ people (women, men + children) marching around the capitol and then seizing the capitol steps was one of the most empowering moments I have ever witnessed. I am so proud to have been a part of March 3rd!
