In May 2011, Mike Smith, Phil Burcher, and Steve Andel (along with crew/riders Andrew and Angie Norman) skateboarded 430 miles across the state of Nebraska in an effort to raise money for the state's only indoor skatepark, Bay 198 in Lincoln. They started in Scottsbluff and ended on the steps of the State Capitol.
It took them nine days to push 430 miles on the shoulder of the highway. It was rough. But they made it.
They're going to do it again in June 2012. Stay tuned.
