While I was playing around Auckland doing some timelapse with a tilt shift lens somebody lent to me, I wanted to test how the tilt shift would behave in video mode. So I popped in a rehearsal for Pineapple Productions, practicing with some fans on Ravel's Bolero.

I have to say, I'm really impressed by how it turned out. The girls were amazing obviously, but the tilt shift really brings out an unconventional feel to the images and I feel it should be used more in regular film-making [given you can justify the weird depth of field plane], maybe to create a sense of uneasiness, of things not being quite what they should be, disorientation, or whatever...
