Coastal wetlands are important ecosystems that also protect our coasts from storms. It is therefore important to understand if these ecosystems, especially mangroves, can keep up with sea level rise. The ability of mangroves to keep up with sea level rise is a balance between the rate of sea level rise, sediment supply and availability of inland habitat. In this study coastal areas with mangroves are modelled to study this balance.
