Legendary rock'n'roll pioneer Roky Erickson first ever tour of Australia. Singer, songwriter and guitarist for legendary garage band The 13th Floor Elevators, one of the first bands to describe their music as “psychedelic”, the band made an impact on the San Francisco scene when they moved there in 1966.

The Elevator’s unique brand of heavy, hard-rocking electric blues spawned one hit "You’re Gonna Miss Me", yet their appeal was far-reaching, influencing a long list of artists including R.E.M., ZZ Top, The Cramps and many more.

More than four decades later, 2010 saw the release of Roky’s first album of new material in 14 years when he teamed up with Okkervil River for the critically acclaimed, "True Love Cast Out All Evil".
