A short scene done as part of our monthly meetings. We randomly drew Action film for this one, and quickly threw together a rumble in our basement.
The idea was to move and punch at half speed, with actors being literally hit softly and then falling back on their own strength. In post the footage would have to be sped up to look real. The effect is unnatural and somewhat of a failure. The speed at which the actors needed to move had to be more consistent and better choreographed with the changes in post in mind. None of us had any experience with this, so it is a forgivable learning experience. The actors moved so slow that when sped up it appeared jerky when the consistency of movement was off or when they just moved too slow. Overall the end product is simply fun to watch.
