And to refresh, here’s the blurb:
Iota Strip is a conceptual project I completed during my degree. This is a video I uploaded for my portfolio. It’s here so I can link it back to my folio site.
The deal is this: tiny laser cut profiles stuck on their short end (3x3mm) to sticky tape, and arranged so that they move in a snake-like fashion.
I’m fascinated with the arrangement of small things into a bigger thing - one of many - and how that changes the form, purpose and of course the viewer’s perception of the individual thing. For example: chainmail. Rings to sheet, spacers to armour, collection of tiny things to one bigger one… and the movement that it affords! Beautiful.
This project is about those changes.
