Contradiction. Polar opposites. Balance.
The Galeana FW2012 collection merges the Galeana woman with none
other than Selina Kyle... a.k.a. Catwoman to create a hybrid feline muse. It
draws its approach, and dark sexual energy, not only from the extremes of her
personality but also from the depths of her city. Dennis O’Neil, writer and
editor of Batman, once said,....
“Batman’s Gotham City is Manhattan below Fourteenth
Street at eleven minutes past midnight on the coldest night in November.”
And it is that place that our lady has emerged from, armed with stealthy
pieces: pants and skirts that have been constructed architecturally, yet tamed
by more fragile fabrics that represent her vulnerable side: softer, loose feminine
tops. All the while this collection is quite literally stitched together to contain her
instability and pull herself into a confident and seductive mynx.
