Pacific Mission: Episode 3
Lia Ditton is training to be the first woman to row the North Pacific, from Japan to San Francisco, solo and unsupported.
Lia, from the UK, is currently based on the west coast of the USA so she can train in some of the world's most challenging sea conditions. This film documents her most recent row; 728 miles down the coast from Portland to San Francisco.
During her most epic row yet, Lia encountered sharks, dangerous and frustrating sea currents as well as huge waves and high winds. But there was beauty too; moments of stillness, calm, magical skies and incredible wildlife encounters.
