A quick video I sent to the client to approve the blinking cycles for the LED driver board which will be housed in a very elaborate shoe display for New Balance in NYC. This version is actually sped up significantly from the final display. The three main LEDS fade up and down in a random combination over the course of several seconds. Some of the cycles appear to be sequential, but they are in fact random, as are the cycles where NONE of the LEDs come on, and when they all come on. Random is random, even when it appears to be following a pattern. Remember the controversy when people were reporting that their iPods were seeming to play songs by one particular artist more than others? Turned out to just be their minds playing tricks. This is the same deal... the brain just loves to try and find patterns.
