Music creates friendship in Rwanda
School Reporters, Patrick, Philbert, Barbara and Derrick of RUKOMO Secondary School conduct an interview about music in Rwandan schools.
The DEO, (District Education Officer), Martin Hakizimana said, “We do have music in our curriculum but not as a music lesson but we teach it in extra curricular activities”. He went on to say, “Next year we shall see whether we can put it in our curriculum’.
Prominent gospel singer Julius, said, “the secret in music is to glorify God and music is also liked by the old and young”.
We hope to have music in our schools to help the young create friendship between all in Rwanda in the future.
