Rep. Eric Bedingfield (R-Greenville) along with Sen. Robert Ford (D-Charleston) and Rep. Tracy Edge (R-Horry) held a news conference on March 24, 2009 to introduce the bi-partisan "South Carolina Educational Opportunity Act."
As Rep. Bedingfield said, "We can educate children publicly and be just fine, but this is not a one-size-fits-all state. All children aren't the same."
He went on to say, "This is not about the public education system. This is about children. This is about educating the children of South Carolina to be productive citizens to make our state grow and move forward."
