Sarah’s Story

Sarah was born intersex in Northern Ireland in the 1950s. Growing up in a strong Christian family, her first memory was singing a solo of Jesus Loves me at the age of 3 at her Sunday School Social.

She always felt different from everyone else but it has only been in the last five years that she's learned the full extent of having been born intersex, learning she's a lesbian and the struggle to be recognised as her true birth gender.

Sarah tells the story of her journey and of finding a home where she can be herself and worship her creator, without being judged.
