Rotating centerpiece with sound recorded from a performance of Marwa by Gautam Tejas Ganeshan.
An installation by Minette Lee Mangahas based on the Indian raga called Marwa, which is associated with moments after sunset. The centerpiece is surrounded by over 80 paintings of birds and a wall of moving shadows. Exhibited at the Sangati Center for South Asian Music in San Francisco.
"Ragas in Indian music paint the mind, and Marwa's palette is that of dusk, the transition between day and night."
