House Work takes audiences on a walking tour through the private spaces of artists’ homes, in the inner city suburbs of Redfern and Waterloo. Each household of artists will create a performance or installation that subtly transforms their domestic environment for one day only, inviting the audience in to experience these reconfigured personal worlds. Through this series of exchanges, the domestic sphere of the ‘home’ will become a site for artistic practice and dialogue, blurring the boundaries between art and life.
WALK is a season of walks, promenades, marches and strolls in and around Sydney taking Performance Space’s program onto the streets and into the venues of partner organisations, opening up opportunities for artists to engage with new sites and audiences.
