Scratch Track was an experimental film project directed by Richard Reeves and facilitated by Ellen Besen where the visuals were scratched, burned, & drawn directly on 35 mm film. The sound, ALSO created by scratching & drawing directly on film, was performed LIVE in concert on 16 mm projectors and a squawk box by the co-creators/animators/performers Ryan Fairley, Matt Ferguson, Mike Weiss, & Lynn Dana Wilton at the 2002 Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) before audiences at the opening and closing night galas in the National Arts Centre (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada).
