The concert consists of two launeddas* ”suonatas”, original music of the Sardinian tradition, alternating with two contemporary compositions derived from that music. During the two contemporary compositions the live electronics is used to slowly reconstruct the sound objects of the Sardinian tradition. Canoni for recorders and live electronics, composed 1992 in a time when we had to use a complex, analogue system for real-time electronics. Fortunately for us today, computers have made it possible to perform this composition with a certain ease and safety. Contrappunto (2009) for saxophone and live electornics, uses a similar procedure with some techniques possible only thanks to computer technology.
