In September 2019, Frank Cavanagh had just finished cycling from Point Loma to Imperial Beach when he suffered a heart attack.
Fortunately for him, Deputies Richard Pele, Bianca Dinero and Casey Calloway quickly arrived on the scene and began giving him CPR.
Today, Mr. Cavanagh is alive and well thanks to the lifesaving actions of the three deputies from the Imperial Beach Sheriff's Substation, as well as Imperial Beach Firefighters and AMR paramedics.
