PASSION and PURPOSE are the two words that sum up the goal of the tenth annual presentation of New York's Carifest C.A.R.E.S. This time around, Team Legendary will be celebrating with a specific heartfelt goal in mind. Carifest C.A.R.E.S has joined forces with Keep A Child Alive to tackle the Aids epidemic that plagues African children, leaving more than 25 million dead, and 15 million orphaned. This organization, founded by President
Leigh Blake in 2002, provides an urgent response to the epidemic that continues to wipe out whole societies, threaten the economic infrastructure, and create
tragic family devastation.
Carifest C.A.R.E.S has laid the groundwork for another decade of great performances. Subsequently we feel obligated to utilize our influence in the world of this art form by presenting such groundbreaking and classic artists as Matisyahu, Lee Scratch Perry, Midnite, Slightly Stoopid, Joseph Israel, Groundation, Meta and The Cornerstones, and more who also reach the
community and educate our reggae lovers all over the world about this cause.
Carifest C.A.R.E.S and Keep A Child Alive invite you to join us on July 6, 2008 at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York, 11368 to
make a difference! Less than a dollar a day buys the drugs, support services, and care to save a life.
Let your voice be heard by purchasing a block of tickets, which your company may distribute at your discretion. By joining ranks with community partners globally. Your organization will help bring attention to this Aids pandemic
affecting us all.
