My film follows the life cycle of Kimbab, a traditional Korean food comprised of rice wrapped in seaweed, from harvest to consumption and beyond.
The culinary culture in Korea is strongly grounded in tradition. Many Korean foods are believed to have healing properties. One can cure anything from a hangover to summer heat just by selecting the right dish. Every food has a different story. I wanted to make a film inspired by the rich tradition that many Koreans associate with the food they eat.
