When You Were Gone is a work in progress that was not completed due to Covid-19. This showing was at the CSUMB Center for Arts & Culture for Veterans Day 2019. This piece is about deployment from the perspective of children. Based on 19 filmed interviews with children from the Porter Youth Center for military families, this work is inspired by these interviews and honor military sacrifice.
