Rafael Carrabba grew up in the world of music, more specifically, in the world or musical instrument creation and repair. He began by sweeping the floors, grinding rosin for the bows, and polishing the violins.

He went on to eventually buy the first shop he worked in. He became a Luthier - and that profession, for those of you who do not know, is regarded as the ultimate woodworker.

Rafael stills owns a operates his Luthier Shop in Queen Anne's Hill in Seattle, Washington. He has over forth years of experience and very well versed in all the subtle nuances of the English, French, German and Italian schools of violin making.

A few years ago Carrabba Violins was awarded the assignment to restore a Stradivarius which was donated to the Seattle Symphony.
