The WildHearts story began in Ghana in 2008 with the commencement of our very first micro-finance operations. Since then WildHearts have been providing micro-loans and business training to help more Ghanian women work their own way out poverty with dignity every year.
After a first visit to the field in 2010, the WildHearts team returned to Ghana in March 2012 and journeyed to the Upper West Region near the border with Côte d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso, to meet more of the women who's lives have been transformed through micro-finance. We visited market places and workshops, roadside kitchens and bustling stores and witnessed the economic boom created by WildHearts supporters. We were also invited to schools and into homes to see first hand how our micro-clients had ploughed the profits from their businesses back into their families and communities. We filmed and photographed them as they told their extraordinary stories. They want us to share them with you in this special video.
