I chose to create a film that doesn’t contain a coherent narrative. I made this decision because I personally wanted to make something different. My alternative was to create a much more artistic film, that creates meaning and provokes thought through interesting cinematography, mise-en-scène and sound. Taking inspiration from many different styles of the film medium, from Bob Dylan’s When The Deal Goes Down music video, to TV shows such as LOST, and films including 2001: A Space Odyssey, the product of these ideas all culminate within my film. I wanted to carry three main themes during the film, these are; age & decay, time & space, change & nostalgia.
