Between January and July 1944 hundreds of political and racial detainees were imprisoned by the Nazis in the “Polizei- und Durchgangslager” camp of Fossoli (a village near Carpi, Modena, Italy), and from here deported to the extermination camps of Auschwitz-Birkenau, Dachau, Buchenwald and Flossenburg.
This installation was commissioned by the Museum of the Deported and the Foundation of the Fossoli Camp of the city of Carpi, Italy.
This is a time-lapse video shot over 24 hours: the wall of a shack of the Fossoli concentration camp where the deported were imprisoned.
The show was curated by Luca Panaro (lucapanaro.net)
