RS-Media's first production! Hope you all enjoy it!
Tried exporting in different formats.. vimeo still seems to downgrade the quality though.
If anyone knows the best settings for vimeo then let me know !! I tried 1080, 1080p and 1080 (24mbps) Neither worked well really.
This was the first time I used the camera and slide rail, both of which I purchased not long before the show. It was more of an experiment rather than aiming to create a film. The footage turned out a lot better than I expected! Really happy with the results.
The main problem from then on was editing the video. Iv never worked with HD files before and got a shock when I started editing on the computer. After going through loads of different software I eventually started getting somewhere 3 weeks later. The film was about 8 minutes to start with, then i removed a 2 minute section, then decided just to cut the video in half. Still encountered so many problems, mostly just glitches with software. So it was basically trial and error the whole way.
learned a lot of lesson through this
- Dont film in HD unless you need to.
- Dont have to much slide rail footage. Wish i had more freehand footage.
- Problem at the show was people getting in the way of the shot. Wish I had waited that extra minute for it to cleart. So much good footage spoiled with people in the way.
Still got a lot of footage from outside etc so will hopefully have another video up at some point.
