His Holiness Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji appeared magically on his mother Sri Jayalakshmi Mata's lap without help from any midwife, as she sat deeply absorbed in meditation at dawn alone on a rock deep down in the ravine that jutted out into the river Kaveri at the sacred Brahma Kundam in Karnataka State, India. The holy waters splashed over the baby's feet gently. His entire body was covered with Vibhooti, the sacred ash. He had around his neck two necklaces, one of rudrakshas, and another of saligramas, both strung in gold. The tribal folk of the forest region brought home the mother and baby placing them on a makeshift palanquin/cot while the grandmother offered fervent prayers to the unseen Sage, the Risheeswara, Lord Dattatreya, for their safety. An excerpt from Nada Katha Sudha, the 36 hour mp3 audiobook of the biography written in Telugu by Sri Kuppa Venkata Krishnamurthy, published by Avadhoota Datta Peetham. The music in the background consists of excerpts from Sri Swamiji' Healing Music Concerts.
