This video shows me and my family's mini outing to Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA and Monterey, CA. We brought our dogs, Koby and Cocoa so they can finally get a chance to enjoy the great outdoors and walk on the sand and enjoy the beach since it was a nice, spring-like day this day.
The drive to Carmel from San Jose wasn't that bad. We left home around 2:20 p.m. The dogs were already excited just riding in the car. We had to stop in Gilroy, CA to refuel. We arrived to Carmel-by-the-Sea by 3:45 p.m., roughly an hour and 25 minutes.
When we found our spot, we settled down and ate our lunch of Jollibee. It looked like it was high tide. The Koby and Cocoa were already tired from running and playing on the sand.
We just chilled and enjoyed the views and sights and sounds of the sea. I also got too relaxed that I actually laid down. It was quite relaxing.
When it came to 7 p.m. or so, we decided to leave the beach since we had a bit of an accident. We had to cut the trip a bit short since of Cocoa being quite too aggressive since a couple large dogs came quite close and bit my mom. I didn't want to stay for sunset anyways since it was too much cloud cover. We only managed to see the early part of the sunset.
Before we left Carmel, we decided to stopped around the little town by the sea in Carmel. We walked a bit, looked into the Cottage of Sweets and the Carmel Bakery. We got Turkish delight from the Cottage of Sweets and I got caramel drink from the Carmel Bakery.
We decided to stop by Monterey, CA to get dinner. We went through the Cannery Row and we decided to get calm chowder bread bowls from Fish Hopper. Once we got our food, we drove to Seaside, CA, by McDonald's and parked there so we can enjoy our clam chowder in the car. Koby and Cocoa also got a chance to try the chowder. Cocoa was thirsty after having a great time at the beach! It was a great day today at the beach with my family and the doggies!
