This is a series of videos that cover acids and bases at the 10th grade pre-AP/IB level. The Arrhenius and Lewis acid base theories are defined. The unit focusses on the Bronsted-Lowry model of acids and bases. Conjugate acids and bases are introduced and naming/formula writing is reviewed. Calculations involving pH, pOH, hydroxide ion molarity, and hydronium ion molarity are modeled. Stoichiometric calculations involving strong acids and bases are included. Equilibria involving weak acids and bases are not included. Titration curves are described and buffers are introduced.
