This video was originally inspired by Michael König's work with images from ISS expeditions 28 & 29 (which I note has been remixed on YouTube a few times) and I thought that something similar might provide a suitable ending to Eastercon 2012.

Rather than remix König's video I wanted to use some of the latest images from the ISS (see attribution note below) and to create a fresh edit that I felt would work well with the music I had selected, so I used NASA's original images as my source.

The music is "Blue Planet" by Terry Devine-King. For this project I purchased a licence from which covers both my use and the tracks use in this online form.

If you have never heard of Audio network before I recommend you check them out; they are a great resource.

All images are from NASA and the Image Science and Analysis Laboratory, NASA-Johnson Space Center. "The Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth."

My masters for this project are about 1GB (and look as good as you might expect) but clearly that is not practical as an online video. Hopefully this version strikes the right balance, but if I get enough requests I can always change the encode.

Support space flight and space exploration in any way you can. It may turn out to be one of the most important things we ever do.
