Coercion

Projected from the mouth of an "armchair participant" as part of the exhibition "Je suis" at Fonderie Darling, this video is composed of clips from a stockpile of my grandfather's super 8 production from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. It is a montage of every occasion in the footage when a subject was being overtly manipulated for the camera.

Diffusée à partir d’un projecteur caché dans la bouche d'un « Armchair participant" de l’exposition Je suis présentée à la Fonderie Darling, cette vidéo est composée de clips provenant de la collection de films en format super 8 de mon grand-père, datant des années 1930, 1940 et 1950. Il s'agit d'un montage de toutes les séquences où le sujet filmé est ouvertement manipulé pour la caméra.
