Ed Sheeran wasn’t an overnight sensation, but rather a product of hard work and diligence. After releasing an EP and two albums, the multitalented musician went on a touring marathon, playing 312 gigs in 2009. Starting to gain a dedicated fan base, Sheeran was still unsatisfied. Determined to achieve, Ed purchased a one way ticket from England to Los Angeles, with nothing but one scheduled show at a local coffee shop on his itinerary.
Making his way around Los Angeles’ open mic nights, Sheeran found his big break after landing a spot on satellite radio’s program “The Foxxhole,” where Jamie Foxx was so impressed with the musician’s performance he offered him free access to his recording studio, along with a free stay at the artist’s Hollywood home while he worked.
Since then, things have taken off for Ed. Without any promotion or help from a label, the artist saw his EP “No. 5 Collaboration Project,” reach number 2 on the iTunes charts, selling over 7,000 copies...
