Kiss My Nauman is a four wall video installation by Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard, originally produced specially for Jarvis Cocker's Meltdown Festival at the Southbank in 2007. The four channel video installation references Bruce Nauman's Art Make-Up, forty years after it was originally made.
Iain and Jane cast the world's longest running Kiss tribute band, Dressed to Kill, in place of Nauman. They film Ash, Gary, Ian and Trevor, each member of the band in a single 47 minute take as they apply their character's make-up. The resulting work is a compelling combination of reconstruction and revision, an oddly beautiful one-liner, a double-take of sorts and regardless of whether you 'get' the Nauman reference - a memerising experience.
