Jennifer Dieckhoff was a student in the first semester of my class Interactive and Generative Art, offered in the Spring 2011 semester by the CSIS department at UNK. Inspired by the work of Leah Buechley and her High-Low Tech Group at the MIT Media Lab, Jen created these projects as a way to explore the world of soft circuits and conductive materials. Her idea was to embed LEDs and a Lilypad Arduino into a removable pillow case insert in order to transform any existing bed pillow into a soft night light for kids.

This video was taken during the 2011 Interactive and Generative Art Exhibition at UNK, organized in order to celebrate and display the works of these students to the public. To learn more about the exhibition, including more interviews and links to project websites, visit the following links.
