1995-03-30 Grand Alliance System Integration at Sarnoff

On May 24, 1993, seven organizations that had been working on four competing digital systems joined forces to form the Digital HDTV Grand Alliance. They faced the challenge of designing a system that was better in every respect that the four predecessor systems, which would be verified by rigorous testing. On March 30, 1995 the digital HDTV Grand Alliance completed the system integration of its prototype hardware at Sarnoff's Field Lab.
