From the Red Zone is a visual postcard from a country in isolation after the World Health Organization declared a pandemic.
The students of the art high school "Giordano Bruno" of Grumo Nevano in the province of Naples, have created a visual document that takes the viewer into the daily intimacy of some Italian families in quarantine. It is a testimony of an authentic historical period and the important result of a teaching that does not stop, giving the students the opportunity to look at new creative processes.
The project is the result of a collaboration between Luigi Capasso, an Italian director living in Canada, founder of Zoomlab, and Amalia Caso, teaches cinema at the "Giordano Bruno" Art School, who has coordinated the students in this production and has constantly worked to show his students new and authentic creative paths.
The making of the short film reveals a new age education, where through the professionalism of several subjects, the teaching meets new approaches and uses new channels to show itself outside its ordinary frame.
From the Red Zone è una cartolina visiva che arriva da un paese in stato di isolamento in seguito alla dichiarazione di pandemia da parte dell’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità.
Gli studenti del Liceo artistico “Giordano Bruno” di Grumo Nevano in provincia di Napoli, hanno realizzato un documento visivo che porta lo spettatore nell’intimità quotidiana di alcune famiglie italiane in quarantena. È una testimonianza di un periodo storico autentico e il risultato importante di una didattica che non si ferma, dando la possibilità agli studenti di affacciarsi su nuovi processi creativi.
Il progetto è il risultato di una collaborazione tra Luigi Capasso, regista italiano residente in Canada, fondatore di Zoomlab, e Amalia Caso, docente di cinema del Liceo artistico “Giordano Bruno” che ha coordinato gli studenti in questa produzione e da sempre impegnata a mostrare ai suoi studenti percorsi creativi nuovi e autentici.
La realizzazione del cortometraggio rivela una didattica new age, dove tramite la professionalità di più soggetti, la didattica incontra nuovi approcci e utilizza nuovi canali per mostrarsi fuori dalla sua cornice ordinaria.
