I live for some days at Tanguri's village on Alto-Xingu rio. I talk with Cacique and he explains me the culture of Kalapalo people. Kalapalo const of 100 guys and the relationships with all tribes of the Alto-Xingu
are constantly fed by a long series of rites, all with a cosmic approach based on mythology. During execution of the rites there are dances, songs and it is also an occasion to tighten social relationships with component
of other groups. The whole village is preparing for the Kuarup day that runs each time the shaman deems appropriate or if the adverse conditions endanger the peace of the Indians. Ritual of Kalapalo tribe still lives on the shore of Upper Rio Xingu, one of the major tributaries of the Amazon river. It is reliance on the protection and defense of the village and its indigenous people that is addressed to the spirits ancestors to come out from the trunks of the trees and come back to life.
