Review for Plantation Style Mint Julep Soda by the Natrona Bottling Company.
This soda is a nice pastel green color, and upon pouring into the cup is crisply carbonated with many bubbles. It has a faint minty smell. When drinking, I taste a soft spearmint flavor, with a nice lightly carbonated feel. It is pretty refreshing and tastes almost like gum. There are also mild citrus notes similar to that of a Sprite or a 7-Up, but these are very very light. Since it is made with pure cane sugar, it is not too sweet. It doesn't have a strong acidic taste, so it goes down smooth, unlike some sodas which are hard to drink. It doesn't leave any strong aftertaste, and feels like a nice spring or summertime drink. It feels like it would pair well with a fresh bowl of fruit. It can also work well as a mixer, which I have tried, and it was great!
