Lovingly curated by pop art boss Ben Frost, Pastemodenism III invaded over 300sq m of the heritage listed Cockatoo Island as part of 2011's Outpost urban art festival. It featured over 260 artist from all over the world.
It's come a long way from humble beginnings; the first Pastemodernism exhibition was held in the derelict site of Hibernian House in Surry Hills in 2008 – where local street artists applied their photocopied, hand painted and collaged works on paper, to the interior walls of the building.
Stay tuned for the next one.
