Friday 6th of April, was the opening of Tim Frager's "La voie est libre" artshow at l'espace 29, in Bordeaux.
La voie est libre because Tim had no directions on the way he has to go, but just having fun in an original painting experience.
Indeed, he had 4 days to pass over Nicolas d'Hautefeuille's artshow "Après la fête" and (re)organize an opening party.
It's not that usual in an artist life, to give your work in someone else hands and see your work literally recovered, destroyed, assimilated and shown differently.
Thanks to Nicolas that gave Tim, the opportunity to have this "art experience" on this 120m2 in 4days, and having so much fun.
It seems the hundreds of people that showed up this last Friday for the opening party, had fun and appreciated the 2 artists' worlds mixed together.
Lots of liters of blue paint (straight from Mexico), red (wine), yellow (for a Caribbean mood), black & white ink, have been used to cover the surface of L'espace 29 that wasn't small…
The day after, Nicolas and Tim took 12 hours to take out all the artwork from the walls by scraping it off over and over… and finally made 2 packs: one for each artist… that will be used for their next artshow.
Stay tuned for Tim's next artshow "it began in Africa" in la Maison de la Prade in Messanges this June 2012; and Nicolas on nicolasdhautefeuille.com
